- Culture Hero
- It should be noted that while it is quite possible for culture heroes to become gods it is rare that gods become culture heroes. The reason for this is that most gods appear to have started as abstract conceptions and their relationship with mankind was limited to the personalities of the priest or priestess who became identified with the god. The process of deification of the culture hero is relatively common and tends to occur even nowadays with outstanding personalities. It is akin to that of ancestor worship.
